“By failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail.” – Benjamin Franklin
Now, let us understand what is a framework?
A framework is the most essential supporting structure, and when designed correctly, it becomes the foundation upon which everything else is built. A framework is like a road map: it shows the final destination and usually the best way to get there.
One real-life example, you have two scenarios:
First is you have an army ready to fight. The weapons ready to kill. The preparation ready to show. An opposition that doesn’t intimidate. Going out to the battlefield in such a scenario isn’t exactly an act of courage. There could be nervousness, yes. But courage isn’t the missing piece here. All credit to the preparation with a proper framework in place.
Now imagine, you have an army. No weapons. Hardly any preparation. And an opposition that has plenty. Across everything. Don’t you think the chances are high to lose the battle?
So, we can understand from the above example, only preparation is not enough, you have to have a proper framework with it, like weapons to fight, army leader to command, to lead, to instruct, to plan to win the battle.
There has to be somebody who can see your blind spots. You need a framework for coaching and preparation. There is no talent concept in the world. Anticipating the problem is not pessimism.
What I strongly believe is – “Our goals can only be reached through a vehicle of a plan, in which we must fervently believe, and upon which we must vigorously act. There is no other route to success.” – Pablo Picasso
